2024 Program Highlights
Microsoft Internships: 2 TIPs students interviewed with Microsoft and secured internship offers. They will receive 6 academic credits upon completion.
ICPC Caribbean Finals: A second-year TIPs student advanced to the 2024 ICPC Caribbean Finals.
Regional Internship Success: Students landed regional tech internships by standing out in behavioral and technical interviews.
Innovative Projects: Students built machine learning models, resume generation tools, and mapping software. TIPs participants led 5 of 6 projects in a Fortinet-sponsored community innovation challenge. One project earned local media coverage and multimillion-dollar grant backing, while another in renewable energy is poised for large-scale impact.
Enhanced Professionalism: Many TIPs students now successfully balance software engineering roles at Caribbean startups with their academic responsibilities.
